Essential Cookies

We use first-party cookies to help the site work in the best possible manner. You can opt-out of receiving these cookies and disable them by adjusting your browser settings. Please note, however, that without these cookies, your user experience may be impacted.

In conjunction with obtaining information through cookies, our web servers may log details such as your operating system type, browser type, domain, and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone in which your device is located. The web server logs also may record information such as the address of the web page that linked you to our site and the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet.

To control which web servers collect this information, we may place tags on our web pages called “web beacons.” These are computer instructions that link web pages to particular web servers and their cookies.

Analytics and Customization Cookies (see below in detail):

Analytics cookies or performance cookies are used to track website visitors and their user behavior.

1/ Use of Google Analytics

It is important for us to design our Internet pages as optimally as possible and thus to make them attractive for our visitors. To do this, we need to know which parts of it reach our visitors and how.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). Google Analytics also uses cookies, which are text files placed on your device, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your usage of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization has been activated on our website so that Google will reduce your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us as website operator with other services relating to website usage and internet usage.

The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

You can find Google's privacy policy here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/?hl=en.

Google has a so-called EU-U.S. Privacy Shield certification. The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Agreement is a data protection agreement designed to ensure an adequate level of data protection for data transfers to certified U.S. companies. The EU Commission has established the adequacy of the guaranteed data protection level according to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Agreement by decision of 12.07.2016 (Az. C(2016) 4176).

The decision of the EU Commission can be viewed here: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/DE/TXT/?uri=uriserv:OJ.L_.2016.207.01.0001.01.DEU.

The current status of Google's certification according to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Agreement can be found here: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt00000000001L5AAI.

The processing of your data is carried out on the legal basis of art. 6 par. 1 p. 1 f) GDPR (weighing of interests) and in our interest in order to be able to evaluate how our website is used and to adapt and optimise our website on the basis of the results.

Your Google Analytics data will be deleted after 18 months.

2/ Use of Social Plug-ins

Purpose/Information:

Social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) of social networks (Facebook, Twitter) are used on our websites, in particular the “Share” or “Share with friends” button of Facebook, whose website facebook.com is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. The plug-ins are usually marked with a Facebook logo.

Besides Facebook, we use plug-ins from Twitter (Provider: Twitter, Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103).

For data protection reasons, we have deliberately decided against utilizing direct plug-ins of social networks on our websites. For this reason, there is no automatic data transmission to social networks such as Facebook or Twitter once you access our website. Data will be transmitted to social networks only if you actively click on the respective social network button. In this case, your web browser starts a connection to the respective social network's servers. By clicking on the respective button (e.g. “Pass on”, “Share” or “Share with friends”) you agree that your browser will produce a link to the respective social network's servers and transmit usage data to the respective operator of the social network and vice versa. We have no influence upon the nature and extent of the data that is then gathered by social networks.

The social network providers store the data collected about you as user profiles and use these for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation takes place in particular (also for not logged in users) for the representation of demand-fair advertisement and in order to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have a right of objection to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact the respective plug-in providers to exercise this right. Through the plug-ins we offer you the possibility to interact with social networks and other users, so that we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user.
